I Am a Woman

In the mountain of inequality and fear
A lone warrior standing still
An embodiment of light and glare
Suffered the atrocious treatment that broke the hill.

She was a mighty one who fights for equal right
But then mocked, belittled, and deprived
A being who raised the king of might
Abandoned and treated as a hive.

She has agonized the injustice and discrimination
Muffled by the bandwagon of distrust and inequity
Labelled as a frail and shattered foundation
Lamenting for this endless inequality.

But then she screamed and stood up amidst the crowd,
"I am a victor who wants to relieve this enmity
The triumph I want to bellow
Is to free us from this chain of slavery.

I am a soldier who protects life
A mother who bears a child
A teacher who builds a brighter future
And a doctor who saves a life.

I am an entity that possesses countless possibilities
I am a warrior who stood for equality
I am a lone survivor of this enmity
And proudly walks as a leader of my destiny.

I am a woman who battled this ruthless society
Who never kneels and concedes defeat
I fight and stood relentlessly
Empowering ones hope for my tomorrow's feat.

I am a woman who withered in misery
Chariot of misfortune comes and triggered me
But I did not omit and leave this rusty chain
For I'm a woman who gets stronger when in pain.
