SJTHS Conducts Teachers’ Capability Training on F2F Classes Implementation

San Jose Technical High School led by Dr. Jaime A. Cabili, Jr., spearheaded a three-day school-based in-service training with the theme, “Learning and Development Support: A Strategic Planning Initiative Addressing Learning Instructional Needs in the Implementation of Limited Face-to-Face Classes” on March 28-30, 2022 at the SJTHS Social Hall.
This in-service training aims to capacitate teachers both in junior and senior high school with learning and development support plan for quality basic education services in the upcoming implementation of limited face-to-face classes.
Part of the objective of this in-service training is making interactive video lesson as a supplementary material in blended learning approach. Sir Rafael M. Madronio and Sir Donni Ray I. Anonuevo, both teachers from junior high, discussed software applications that teachers can utilize in video lesson production.
Moreover, the second day of in-service training concentrated on learning and development support in addressing learning instructional needs in the implementation of limited face-to-face classes. Ma’am Jonalyn M. Florano, the SHS Coordinator, discussed the learning challenges encountered by the senior high school teachers during their implementation of limited F2F classes. She also shared the interventions applied by the senior high school in addressing those learning needs.
On the other hand, Ma’am Marilyn M. Anonuevo, the Sci-Math Department Head, spoke on the role of teachers in coaching and mentoring sessions by applying various learning approaches for a better facilitation of blended learning.
Meanwhile, afternoon session of in-service training focused on leadership and management support as well as crafting budget of lesson in the limited face-to-face classes. Sir Ian Zandro C. Doncillo, a junior high school teacher discussed the most essential learning competencies as the prime basis in crafting budget of lesson.
In addition, Dr. Jaime A. Cabili, Jr., the school principal, spoke on leadership and management support in the school. “Good leaders must be good examples.”, he emphasized in his discussion. Sir Jaime also added that commitment and unity must be harnessed among all teachers especially that greater challenges are likely to take place in the implementation of limited face-to-face classes.
Last day of in-service training focused on legal matters. Atty. Teodoro M. Jumamil, Esq, a resource speaker whose expertise is on constitutional topic, talked about code of ethics in which teachers were reoriented of honesty and integrity in their profession. He also made emphasis in his discussion the value of teachers as the country’s asset in nation building.
On the other hand, Ma’am Melca V. Peru, the Related Subject Department Head, stressed out Republic Act 9262 also known as the Violence Against Women and Children. With her expertise on the topic, she made clear that the declaration of the law is primarily meant for the protection of women and children.
Indeed, Dr. Jaime A. Cabili, Jr. said that the school based in-service training has equipped teachers with necessary skill and knowledge in the implementation of limited face-to-face classes. The school principal also added that the school is in its full readiness for the opening of limited face-to-face classes in the upcoming days.
