SJTHS conducts Teachers' Orientation on Career Guidance Program

San Jose Technical High School thru Dr. Pilipinita A. Evaristo and Sir Sanny D. Moreno, School Career Guidance  Advocates, spearheaded Orientation on Career Guidance Program to teachers with advisory class from grades 7 to 10 on April 8, 2022 at SJTHS Social Hall.

Dr. Pilipinita A. Evaristo, School EsP Coordinator and Career Guidance Advocate, started the orientation with an overview of  Republic Act 11206 or the Secondary School Career Guidance and Counseling Act. Dr. Evaristo underscored the goal of the law which aims to institutionalize a career guidance and counseling program for students in all secondary schools in order to provide them proper direction in pursuing subsequent tertiary education.
Meanwhile, Mr. Sanny D. Moreno, School Career Guidance Advocate, elaborated the Division Memo OUCI-2021-347 also known as the School Orientation on the Implementation of Career Guidance Program for the S.Y. 2021- 2022.

Subsequently, Dr. Evaristo and Mr. Moreno, conducted a walk-through session of Career Guidance Modules  to orient teacher-advisers in the utilization of the material as the  basic instructional aid to guide secondary students in their pursuit of future career based on their capacity and skills, and the needs of the community as well.

Apparently, Ma'am Melca V. Peru, Head of Related Subject Department, highlighted in her closing remarks the significance of career guidance for a holistic development of students. 

Indeed, the said orientation is one of the educational supports of Dr. Jaime A. Cabili, Jr., to capacitate teachers in addressing the needs of students in San Jose Technical High School.
